Another ‘Thumbs Up’ for PD

There’s always some awesome treats, like mini-size Butterfingers or M&M’s.
But you have to search pretty hard to find them.
Along the way, you’ll hit on some pleasant enough goodies that you ultimately gorge and cause a next-morning stomach ache. There’s also some old-fashioned candy corn. And, then, there’s some real bombs, like the travel-size tubes of toothpaste that old mean guy down the road snuck into your bag.
So who are the winners in this year’s fall schedule? Here’s what I’ll be saving room for on my DVR, a few stomach-ache inducing shows and some I’m not too sure about:
5. “Pushing Daisies,” Oct. 3, ABC
Another genre-pushing dramedy that sounds like ambitious fun. Lee Pace (so wonderful in “Soldier’s Girl”) stars as Ned, a man with the power to bring some dead briefly back to life. Caught the pilot online (shhh … don’t tell) and it’s actually intelligent. Shock!

Liz is crazy about Cherry pie, Bryan Fuller and Lee Pace.
