You could say Jimmy Smits and Anthony Anderson and those guys from “Cavemen” are ones to watch in the 2007-2008 television season.

But that’s too easy. It takes some digging to find the folks who’ll stand out — and prosper — from the exposure.

The 10 most likely to succeed? Meet our candidates:

Lee Pace — You probably recognize the face — he’s one of those utility players in many shows — but he’s not “Ed,” he’s another quirky guy given an impossible situation. In “Pushing Daisies,” he has the ability to bring the dead back to life just by touching them. If he touches them a second time, it’s curtains. Surrounded by a great cast of Broadway veterans, Pace blossoms. This could be the bouquet. (”Pushing Daisies” airs at 7 p.m. Oct. 3)
