“Daisies” Bloom at Reims

PARIS — ABC series “Pushing Daisies” blossomed at the 21st annual Reims International TV Festival, taking the prize for best series as the five-day event wrapped in the Northern French town Sunday.
Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, the first two episodes of the popular series about a pie-maker with the ability to bring the dead back to life won over the nine-strong jury led by director/screenwriter/playwright Nina Companeez.
The eccentric dramedy also captured the hearts of a special public jury who gave the series the TeleObs.com prize for best series. “Pushing Daisies” is set to air on French pay TV network Canal Plus in the coming months.(Read the entire article here.)
