Pushing-Daisies.com at Comic Con
By Liz • Jul 29th, 2008 • Category: appearances, featured storyWe’re finally back from Comic Con and we’ve caught our breath enough to bring you up to date on what went on there. We’ve loaded pictures from the panel in our gallery, so be sure to visit there.
It was indeed a pleasure to sit through this panel. It was moderated by Barry Sonnenfeld, who couldn’t have expressed his high praise of the cast of Pushing Daisies enough. He moved things along quite nicely, especially when people from the audience got up to ask their questions. We were treated to a short clip from the second season, which looks to be awesome. Expect some heartbreak, some character history, and a new character in the form of a pig.
Some of the things we learned about season 2 were:
The question was asked if we will find out more about Emerson’s daughter and we are told that there will, indeed, be an arc on that story line. There will be little clues in the first episode about that story line, so be watching.
The first season DVD was talked about a bit; there’s going to be a “Making Of…” as well as commentary by Bryan Fuller on each episode. That should be fun!
The “show stopper” was when a little girl got up to ask if Kristin Chenoweth would sing a song for us, and after she commented on the fact that she liked the little girl because she was the same height as Kristin, she obliged with “Over the Rainbow”. Can I just say that this Kristin fangirl was absolutely thrilled at the chance to see/hear her sing again, live and in person.
So, that’s our report! Let me just mention the panel consisted of the entire cast: Bryan Fuller, Lee Pace, Anna Friel, Peter Ocko (Producer), Chi McBride (who was hilarious!), Swoozie Kurtz, Ellen Greene, Dan Jinks (Producer), Kristin Chenoweth, and sitting in the VIP section, Field Cate, who stood to give us all a wave. Be watching out for the premiere Oct. 1, 8/7 CST.
Liz is crazy about Cherry pie, Bryan Fuller and Lee Pace.
