It was a bright, sunny day when the PieMaker’s Pushing-Daisies Tour finally made its way to the Windy City, and Pushing-Daisies.com was there for a slice. Packing three different kinds of pie (Cherry, Peach and Apple), magnets, spatulas, pie servers and season one dvd’s, the tour bus arrived in Chicago’s Lincoln Park last Wednesday morning. The dvd sets were awarded to trivia contest winners while the lovely Pie Hole ladies cycled around, handing out spatulas and pie servers to folks passing by. And there was a steady stream of folks passing by.

I wondered if they ran out of pies quickly at each location along the tour, because I saw people going back for seconds; some even, for thirds! In fact, it did happen once or twice. Pies flew out of that tour bus within an hour of their opening up shop.

It was a huge success and a great way to get us all ready for tomorrow’s season premiere of Pushing Daisies. October 1 is finally here!
