ANOTHER DEATH AT THE FUNERAL HOME LEADS NED BACK TO COEUR D’COEURS, ON ABC’S “PUSHING DAISIES”

“The Fun in Funeral” - Another strange death at the Schatz Funeral Home leads Ned back to the scene where he brought Chuck back to life. Meanwhile, Olive unwittingly becomes the messenger in Chuck’s plan to bring a little sunshine into the lives of Aunts Lily and Vivian via some anti-depressant laced pies, on Pushing Daisies,” WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“Pushing Daisies” stars Lee as Ned, Anna Friel as Chuck, Chi McBride as Emerson Cod, Ellen Greene as Vivian, with Swoosie Kurtz as Lily and Kristin Chenoweth as Olive Snook. Jim Dale is the narrator.

Guest starring in “The Fun in Funeral” are Field Cate as young Ned, Sy Richardson as the coroner, Eddie Shin as Wilfred Woodruff, Raul Esparza as Alfredo, Sam Pancake as Donald Funk, Brad Grunberg as Louis and Lawrence Schatz, Victor Z. Isaac as the delivery boy, Howard Mann as the elderly man and Kristin Dos Santos as the 30s woman.

“The Fun in Funeral” was written by Bryan Fuller and directed by Paul Edwards.

In Episode Three, the aunts [played by Swoosie Kurtz and Ellen Greene] will be folded back into the story. Chuck follows through with the threat she made in the pilot by baking anti-depressants into her aunts’ food–in the form of Ned’s pies. Olive delivers one to them and stumbles onto Chuck’s secret. Now that she has dirt on Chuck–that her aunts think she’s dead–will Olive use it against her to get Ned?

This is also the episode in which one of the actors from Heroes will possibly appear, bringing one of his “powers” with him. (Update: Kristin at E! Online has confirmed that this did not work out, although she will be appearing as a “corpse” in this episode.)

Ned and Chuck speak to a dead man named Donald Funk, who worked at the same funeral home as Lawrence Schatz, who they find out died 1 minute after Ned brought Chuck back to life. Donald and Lawrence were partners in stealing flowers from graves and jewelry from bodies of clients of the funeral home.
